Ambulatory Regional Anesthesia Fellowship

As our business continues to grow, EMAS is continuously looking for elite Anesthesiologists to become part of our family.

EMAS offers fellows the opportunity to gain the experience, technical skills, and business acumen to become a successful and highly sought after private practice Regional Anesthesiologist. This fellowship is centered on fast-paced ‘real world’ practical training with a focus primarily on ambulatory orthopedic surgery centers. There is a strong emphasis on learning safe, effective RA techniques for a full range of surgeries, but also on how to become a business-minded surgery center medical director. This includes learning about evaluating and optimizing workflow, resource management, hiring practices, developing & presenting business plans, billing and reimbursement, managing payroll, submitting an RFP, and contract negotiation.

Fellow will work in our fast-paced and challenging outpatient environments. Great work/life balance with no nights, weekends, or holidays.  Fellows will not compete for procedures with residents. In order to maintain and further develop core anesthesiology practice skills, fellows will function 80% as fellows and 20% as faculty. Opportunities are available to expand interests into inpatient regional anesthesia applications, including continuous peripheral nerve catheters. Participation in academic research is available but not a requirement.

This program uses the common application. Submit the completed application directly to Dr. Jerry Jones.
